Bikes in Cuba

While Cuba is well-known for being a working car museum, most locals commute using bikes. Transport is a huge issue in Cuba with oil shortages and limited access to spare parts, the government had to introduce special laws ensuring no journey goes to waste. Hence cycling is the safest way to get around even bike taxis are more reliable than your regular Lada.

I am an avid cyclist and love all the fancy accessories we can get here in the UK but in Cuba I was in awe of their resourcefulness once again. Look out for their home-made accessories.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I am currently unable to bike regularly. But I appreciate how much a bike is essential transportation in many countries. All the best.
